Meet Kirsty, General manager of our Hereford sites; Burger Shop Hereford, The Bookshop, The Yard, and Barabeka.
Kirsty first joined the team at old Bookshop (before we expanded) in 2019 as assistant manager and has gone on to become a core part of the AROT family.
Favourite AROT dish?
“My favorite dish would have to be The Bookshop Sunday roast, it reminds me of being with family and friends and has a lot of heart.”
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
“When I’m not working I spend time with my friends, family, and my partner. I like to go to the gym, go out for food and drinks, and cook for people.”
What is your favorite meal to cook at home?
“My favorite thing to cook at home is garlic mushroom risotto, it sounds really simple but it’s really delicious. I fry the mushrooms with garlic and shallots then bake them on low heat so they keep their texture whilst cooking the rest of the risotto and stir it all together at the end with a little clotted cream and herbs.
What do you like about working for AROT?
“It would have to be the people, the customers, and the team. I love that I get to spend every day with such a wide variety of different people, A Rule of Tum has such a family feel to it, so you can really spend time getting to know the customers, which is amazing. Plus being surrounded by amazing food and drinks always helps.
