A New Future for Our Worcester Restaurants

Our new garden in front of the railway arches in Worcester

To say that the last year has been challenging would be an understatement. With the personal and professional challenges Covid brought the pre-pandemic world seems like a lifetime ago, but we are still here and we’re in an incredible position to bring A Rule of Tum into the future.

Our survival over the last year has been down to our loyal customers who supported us with takeaways, burger kits, and Sunday Lunches as well as our hardworking staff, of which we are proud to say we have managed to retain all of our staff, without having to lay anyone off.

So what now? Well in true AROT fashion the directors (Dorian, Edwin, and Rupert) are building once more, it seems that these boys have a true taste for getting stuck in and this is a large part of our success. Being able to quickly adapt and get things done has meant we can react to the fast-changing nature of hospitality over the last year.

A New Home for Maneki Ramen

You have already probably seen that we had to change the name of our ramen concept (if you haven’t read more about that here) and have been running it as a pop-up and sharing the space with Burger Shop Worcester, but the tools are out once again and a new restaurant is on the horizon.

Arch 44 is currently being converted and built into a stunning 40 seater ramen restaurant with ramen and Japanese food by head chef Pete Dovaston. The plan is to have it open at the beginning of July.

In the meantime, Maneki Ramen and Burger Shop Worcester are doing a crossover and sharing the inside and outside space that we currently have in Worcester.

A new bar in Arch 45

Arch 45 used to be the home of Maneki Ramen, but now this has taken on two new roles. A mezzanine floor was installed in the arch which serves as much needed storage space to the Worcester sites, as well as having our prep kitchen in the back.

In the front of the arch, you’ll soon find our new small but perfectly formed bar that will service the garden area and be a great place to grab a drink while you wait for a table.

We’re hoping to open this up as soon as possible so stay tuned for updates!

Huge thanks to everyone who supports us, we’re so happy to still be here and launching new exciting spaces and making the arches in Worcester a real destination.
